About
Faculty members are graduates from globally renowned Medical College Hospital and institutions both at home and abroad. They are publishing research articles in distinguished journals on a regular basis along with teaching, departmental and other co-curricular activities. Currently, One of our faculty member is doing his M. Phil degree followed by PhD. degree Bangladesh University of Professional(BUP).
Physiotherapy is a multidisciplinary subject. The good practice of physiotherapy today is one of the most components in providing proper health services to people worldwide. It is a profession of honor and high esteem that demands huge responsibilities. The department is established in 2002, at first Department of Physiotherapy under State University of Bangladesh (SUB). But now it is approving by Ministry of Health and family welfare Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and affiliated with University of Dhaka, faculty of Medicine and an Educational venture of Lab aid Group. We have designed an undergraduate programmed to produce competent graduates, who will be capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly demanding rehabilitation sciences.
The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSPT) is divided into four consecutive professional examinations plus one year internship according to new curriculum of University of Dhaka (Faculty of Medicine). We have highly qualified Permanent and guest faculty members, advanced research facilities and library services containing large collection of books, articles and journals. Using innovative and interactive techniques, we make physiotherapy education exciting for the students. The instructors undergo continuous training and assessment in order to uphold the quality of education. We are also proud of our sound disciplinary policies, which enable smooth operation of our department. The department is designed to support those who wish to pursue a career in different areas such as musculoskeletal pain management, Neurological rehabilitation, Pediatrics rehabilitation and Spinal cord injury patient’s management. Thus, our perpetual efforts are directed towards creating highly qualified reliable Physiotherapist who will actively contribute to all sectors of our society including in Govt. Hospital, Private practice, community clinic, research or educational field.

Program Outcome (PO)
To provide broad-base education in Physiotherapy in order to adequately our graduates for employment in the multidisciplinary field. The physiotherapy graduates should be competent enough to:
PO1: Exhibit high level of core competencies in different areas such as Musculoskeletal pain management, Neurological rehabilitation, Pediatrics rehabilitation and Spinal cord injury patients management, scientific research and higher education.
PO2: Develop strong interpersonal, communication and managerial skills and function effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Admission Criteria
The applicant must have passed the SSC and HSC or the examination of equal status in science group from any recognized Board/University with Biology, Physics and chemistry without any grace mark or improvement and have to secure the combined GPA Score 7.00 (Seven). The candidate must have minimum GPA Score 3.00 separately.
Candidates who have passed the SSC and HSC examinations before 2021 & 2023 respectively need not to apply.
Candidates who have passed the three Years Diploma in Physiotherapy Course Under the State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh or from abroad will also be eligible for admission into the BSc in Physiotherapy Course.
