State College of Health Sciences (SCHS) is the first College of its kind in Bangladesh for Health Sciences approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare & affiliated with the University of Dhaka. SCHS has opened a new horizon for the quality education in modern health sciences. It aims at developing human recourses in the field of Health science according to the demand at home and aboard.
B.Sc Degree Courses in Physiotherapy, Basic & Post Basic Nursing & Medical Laboratory Science courses were being run under state University of Bangladesh since year 2003. But Government gave embargo that such medical programs cannot be run by private university. Under the circumstances, the State College of Health Sciences came into being through the decision of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BIMDT LTD in the year 2005 and the college obtained approval from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh and affiliated with the University of Dhaka.
