Policy for full-free studentship and Waiver/Scholarship

Policy for full-free studentship

  • Criteria for selection of students:
  1. Only poor and meritorious students will be considered for this purpose of awarding full-free studentship.
  2. 5% students of each department will be entitled for the full-free studentship for the full period of the course(48 months)
  3. Result of SSC, HSC or equivalent examinations, score of admission test and the income of p

Parents/Guardian will be considered for the purpose of awarding full-free studentship in first year.

4. Specified application form to be filled-up by deserving candidates within specified time to consider the above criteria.

5.The following supporting paper must be incorporated along with the application:

  • Verified and attested photocopy of SSC &HSC or equivalent examination certificate  and mark shet.
  • A certificate stating the income of parents/guardian from the employer in case of service holder and from the Chairman of Union Council/Municipality or Ward Commissioner of City Corporation in other cases.
  • The name of the selected students to be declared before the specified date of admission.
  • Discontinuation of the full- free studentship:
  1. If the students failed to attend at least 80% of the classes held.
  2. Irregular participation in internal/external examination.
  3. If he/she lost/dropped any year.
  4. Any misconduct/violation of rules and regulation

 

  • Execution:
  1. A selection committee for awarding full-free studentship headed by the Principal may be formed as follows:

  3. Head of the Department (all),Member
  • Deputy Director (F & A), SUB, Member
  1. Coordinator, Member Secretary
  2. As per recommendation of the above mentioned committee, selection of the students for full-free studentship will be subject to approval of the Governing Body of SCHS.

 

Policy for Waiver /Scholarship

  1. Top two students of the merit list of each department of each examination under DU, the scholarship/waiver will be equivalent to 50% of the tuition fees.
  2. Foreign students will be given waiver as per recommendation of the Authority during admission.

This policy, terms and conditions may change as and when required.

This policy will be effective from January 2008

  • Waiver as allowed earlier than adoption of this policy will be continued as usual.
